The information in these charts is correct as of December 8th, 2023, and details the most recent token supply information.
The token generation event (TGE) took place on GoChain in May 2019, with a total supply cap of 750 billion OMI tokens.
OMI was migrated to Ethereum in early 2022. It is now an ERC20 token (only).
Anyone still holding the original GoChain OMI token needs to migrate their tokens to Ethereum as soon as possible.
Only ~311 billion tokens ****can ever enter active circulation due to the original token system design of the VeVe platform.
🏃 ~270 billion are already in active circulation
👔 The remainder (~40 bn) resides in the company's long-term business development fund, which is considered unlocked, but not in ‘active’ circulation.
More than half the token supply (~439 billion OMI tokens) can never enter the circulating supply:
🔒 The VeVe Vault + Reserve wallets currently hold ~237 billion tokens (non-circulating)
🔥 ~111 billion tokens have been permanently burnt from the VeVe token Reserve due to the sale of VeVe NFTs since the beginning of 2021 (non-circulating). This process does not affect the circulating supply.
🥶 ~98 billion tokens will remain permanently frozen in smart contracts on GoChain. They can never be accessed and can be deducted from the total token supply.
The OMI token is a utility token intended for use within the VeVe digital collectibles application. It will also be available in third-party games and applications like Tengoku Senso.
Some of these functions will require a user to spend tokens to utilize them, such as Bronze MCP Tickets. These tokens will be permanently removed from the circulating supply.
Similarly, the tokenomic design of third-party games and applications may also contribute to reducing the circulating supply of OMI tokens, and we will update this page with those details as they become available.
<aside> ✅ Did You Know? All token vesting and unlocks are complete as of April 2022.
This means that the total supply of OMI tokens is now available, and no new OMI tokens will ever be created.
