Leaving OMI or any digital asset on an exchange leaves the security of your assets up to a third party.

While you can store some or all of your tokens on any cryptocurrency exchange that currently supports the OMI token, we always recommend taking custody of your assets and securing them with a cold storage device, such as a Ledger hardware wallet.

Although a learning curve is required to do so, this ensures you always have control of your assets should something go wrong in the broader ecosystem, such as an exchange going out of business.

Exchanges are suitable for short-term transactions and ease of use. We do not recommend storing any significant value on an exchange; holders do so at their own risk.
